Negotiation Muse Be Way Forward For Royal Mail
1.23.39pm GMT Mon 15th Mar 2004
Commenting on a leaked document suggesting that Royal Mail may strike because of looming jobs cuts, Malcolm Bruce MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow DTI Secretary, said: "Despite loss of revenues, service failures and industrial disruption, the pressure remains on the Royal Mail to become more competitive."
"A viable future for the Royal Mail will only come about through investment, flexibility and change."
"And this can only be achieved through negotiation, not confrontation."
