Chancellor Must Keep Eye on Bigger Picture - Cable12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 9th Sep 2005 Commenting on the Chancellor's proposal's for an international finance faculty for immunisation, Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor, Vince Cable MP said: "Clearly it is desirable to get behind the World Health Organisation campaign to spread immunisation. Immunisation is a very cost effective form of poverty relief. "However Gordon Brown doesn't refer to the bigger picture because African countries that import oil like Tanzania and Ghana are suffering dearly with higher prices. "Given that Mr Brown has a leading role in international financial circles it is vitally important that he comes up with solution a to help the poorest countries that are now affected by higher oil prices."
